स सम्प्रहारस्तुमुलो निशि प्रत्यभवन्महान् । यथा सागरयो राजंश्नन्द्रोदयविवृद्धयो:,राजन! उस रात्रिमें चन्द्रोदयकालमें उमड़े हुए दो महासागरोंके सदृश उन दोनों दलोंका वह महान् संग्राम अत्यन्त भयंकर प्रतीत होता था
sa samprahāras tumulo niśi pratyabhavan mahān | yathā sāgarayor rājan candrodayavivṛddhayoḥ ||
Wahai Raja, pada malam hari bentrokan itu menjadi amat besar dan gaduh menggelegar; tampaknya sangat mengerikan—laksana dua samudra raya yang mengembang saat bulan terbit.
संजय उवाच
