भीमसेन–अलायुधयुद्धम् / Bhīmasena and Alāyudha: Night Engagement and Command Responses

न हीदानीं सहाया मे परीप्सन्त्यनुपस्कृता: । श्रेयो हि पाण्डून्‌ मन्यन्ते न तथास्मान्‌ महाभुज,महाबाहो! इस समय जो मेरे सहायक हैं, वे अरक्षित होनेके कारण हमारी सहायता करना नहीं चाहते हैं। वे जैसा पाण्डवोंका कल्याण चाहते हैं, वैसा हमलोगोंका नहीं

na hīdānīṃ sahāyā me parīpsanty anupaskṛtāḥ | śreyo hi pāṇḍūn manyante na tathāsmān mahābhuja mahābāho ||

Wahai yang berlengan perkasa! Kini para sekutuku tidak hendak melindungiku, sebab mereka merasa kita dibiarkan tanpa penjagaan dan tanpa kesiapan. Mereka menganggap kesejahteraan para Pāṇḍava lebih utama, namun tidak menghendaki kebaikan yang sama bagi kita.
