Duryodhana’s Appeal to Karna — The Kripa–Karna Dialogue
स यथावन्महाबाहुर्विद्यया वै सुपूजित: । आचार्यवन्महेष्वास: कर्ण: पर्यचरद् बली,महाबाहु महाधनुर्धर बलवान् कर्ण अपनी विद्याद्वारा आचार्य द्रोणके समान यथावत् पूजित हो रणक्षेत्रमें विचरने लगा
sa yathāvanmahābāhur vidyayā vai supūjitaḥ | ācāryavanmaheṣvāsaḥ karṇaḥ paryacarad balī ||
Demikianlah Karna—berlengan perkasa, kuat, dan pemanah agung—bergerak di medan laga. Karena pengetahuan senjatanya ia dihormati sebagaimana mestinya, diperlakukan laksana seorang ācārya, dan bertindak dengan keyakinan seorang ksatria yang diakui penuh.
