Droṇa Encircled at Night: Coalition Advance and Battlefield Omens (द्रोणपर्यावरणं रात्रियुद्धवर्णनम्)
वध्यमाना महाराज पुत्रास्तव बलीयसा । भीम॑ प्रहरतां श्रेष्ठ समन््तात् पर्यवारयन्,महाराज! अत्यन्त बलवान् भीमसेनके बाणोंसे घायल होते हुए आपके पुत्रोंने योद्धाओंमें श्रेष्ठ भीमसेनको फिर चारों ओरसे घेर लिया
vadhyamānā mahārāja putrās tava balīyasā | bhīmaṁ praharatāṁ śreṣṭha samantāt paryavārayan ||
Wahai Raja, meski putra-putramu dihantam dan terluka oleh Bhima yang perkasa, mereka tetap mengepung Bhimasena—yang terdepan di antara para pemukul—dari segala penjuru.
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Kauravas, though being grievously hurt by the powerful Bhīma, regroup and encircle him from all directions, attempting to contain or overwhelm him through numbers and positioning.
