युधिष्ठिरस्य कृष्णार्जुनादि-समाश्वासनम्

स गाढविद्धों बलिना भारद्वाजोी महायशा: । निषसाद रथोपस्थे कश्मलं च जगाम ह,बलवान वीर धृष्टद्युम्नके द्वारा गहरी चोट पहुँचायी जानेपर महायशस्वी द्रोणाचार्य रथके पिछले भागमें बैठ गये और मूर्च्छित हो गये
sa gāḍha-viddho balinā bhāradvājo mahāyaśāḥ | niṣasāda rathopasthe kaśmalaṃ ca jagāma ha ||
Dihantam dalam oleh sang perkasa, Bhāradvāja yang termasyhur (Droṇa) pun terkulai di bagian belakang keretanya dan jatuh pingsan.
