भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
त्वां हि ब्रह्मर्षयो लोके देवाश्षामितविक्रम । तैस्तैहिं नामभिर्युक्ता गायन्ति परमात्मकम्,अमित पराक्रमी परमेश्वर! संसारमें महर्षि और देवगण एकाग्रचित्त हो उन-उन लीलानुसारी नामोंद्वारा आपके परमात्मस्वरूपका गान करते रहते हैं
tvāṃ hi brahmarṣayo loke devāś cāmitavikrama | tais tais hi nāmabhir yuktā gāyanti paramātmakam ||
Bhīṣma berkata: “Wahai Yang berdaya tak terukur, para Brahmarṣi dan para dewa di dunia ini, dengan batin terpusat dalam bhakti, senantiasa melantunkan pujian kepada-Mu sebagai Sang Diri Tertinggi—memuji-Mu melalui banyak nama yang selaras dengan beragam laku-ilahi dan penampakan-Mu.”
