अर्जुन बोले--आप परम ब्रह्म
arjuna uvāca—paraṁ brahma paraṁ dhāma pavitraṁ paramaṁ bhavān | puruṣaṁ śāśvataṁ divyam ādi-devam ajaṁ vibhum || evaṁ ṛṣayo vadanti tvām ṛṣir nāradas tathā | asito devalo vyāsaḥ svayaṁ caiva bravīṣi me ||
Arjuna berkata: Engkau adalah Brahman Tertinggi, kediaman tertinggi, dan kesucian yang paling luhur; Engkau adalah Pribadi Ilahi yang kekal, Tuhan asal bahkan bagi para dewa, tak terlahirkan, dan meliputi segalanya.
अजुन उवाच
Arjuna affirms Krishna’s supreme status—unborn, all-pervading, the source even of the gods—based on the testimony of revered sages and Krishna’s own words. Ethically, this establishes a trustworthy foundation for guidance on dharma amid the confusion of war.
On the battlefield, after hearing Krishna’s teachings, Arjuna responds with reverent recognition. He cites authoritative seers (Nārada, Asita, Devala, Vyāsa) to confirm Krishna’s divinity and signals readiness to receive further instruction with faith and discernment.
