गृहीतशस्त्रा: क्रोशन्ति चर्मिणो वाजिपृष्ठगा: । अरुणोदये प्रदृश्यन्ते शतश: शलभव्रजा:
gṛhītaśastrāḥ krośanti carmiṇo vājipṛṣṭhagāḥ | aruṇodaye pradṛśyante śataśaḥ śalabhavrajāḥ ||
Dengan senjata di tangan, para penunggang berkuda yang membawa perisai berteriak nyaring dari punggung kuda. Pada saat fajar memerah, mereka tampak menyebar ke segala arah dalam ratusan kelompok—laksana kawanan belalang—menggambarkan gelombang perang yang melampaui kendali pribadi.
