Sanjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, di Śākadvīpa pun ada tujuh gunung yang berhias permata. Di sana terdapat banyak tambang batu mulia dan juga sungai-sungai. Dengarkan dariku nama-nama mereka.”
संजय उवाच
The verse emphasizes attentive listening to authoritative narration (śravaṇa) and frames the world as ordered and meaningful through named places—suggesting that knowledge of sacred geography supports a king’s broader understanding of dharma and the cosmos.
Sanjaya, speaking to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, continues a descriptive account of Śākadvīpa, announcing that it contains seven gem-adorned mountains along with many jewel-mines and rivers, and that he will now list their names.
