निविश्य च महात्मानस्ततस्ते पुरुषर्षभा: | हृष्टरूपा: सुमनसो बभूवु: सहसैनिका:,तदनन्तर वे महामना पुरुषरत्न अपने-अपने स्थानपर स्थित हो सैनिकोंसहित प्रसन्नचित्त होकर हर्ष एवं उत्साहसे भर गये
niviśya ca mahātmānas tatas te puruṣarṣabhāḥ | hṛṣṭarūpāḥ sumanaso babhūvuḥ sahasainikāḥ ||
Kemudian para mahātmā, para kesatria laksana banteng itu, setelah menempati posisi masing-masing, menjadi cerah wajah dan jernih hati; bersama bala tentaranya mereka dipenuhi sukacita dan semangat yang bangkit kembali.
वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical dimension of leadership in crisis: when commanders take their proper stations and act with steadiness, collective morale rises. Inner composure (sumanas) and disciplined readiness become visible as confidence and enthusiasm, shaping the conduct of the whole force.
After arranging themselves in their assigned places, the leading warriors—along with their troops—settle into formation. Their faces and minds show joy and eagerness, indicating that the army is now organized and emotionally prepared for the impending battle.
