Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
यदर्थ मां प्राहिणोत् त्वत्सकाशं बृहस्पतिं परिदातुं मरुत्ते । अयं गुरुर्याजयतां नृप त्वां मर्त्य सन््तममरं त्वां करोतु
yadarthaṁ māṁ prāhiṇot tvatsakāśaṁ bṛhaspatiṁ paridātuṁ marutte | ayaṁ gurur yājayatāṁ nṛpa tvāṁ martya san tam amaraṁ tvāṁ karotu ||
Dengarkan tujuan aku diutus kepadamu, wahai Marutta. Ia ingin, melalui diriku, menghadirkan Bṛhaspati di hadapanmu. Ia menyatakan: “Dialah gurumu; wahai raja, biarlah ia memimpin upacara kurbanmu. Engkau manusia fana; semoga ia mengantarkanmu pada keadaan yang tak mati.”
