अद्यैव नक्षत्रमहश्न पुण्यं यतामहे श्रेष्ठतमक्रियासु । अम्भोभिरद्येह वसाम राज- न्नुपोष्यतां चापि भवद्धिरद्य

Transliteration

adyaiva nakṣatra-mahaś ca puṇyaṃ yatāmahe śreṣṭhatama-kriyāsu | ambhobhir adyeha vasāma rājan upoṣyatāṃ cāpi bhavadbhir adya ||

Translation

“Wahai Raja, hari ini sendiri ditandai naksatra yang suci dan hari yang mujur; karena itu hari ini pula kami memulai upaya menuju upacara yang paling utama. Hari ini kami akan tinggal di sini hanya dengan meminum air; dan kalian pun hendaknya berpuasa hari ini.”
