Marutta’s Sacrifice: Indra’s Threat, Saṃvarta’s Mantric Restraint, and Divine Reconciliation (अध्याय १०)

The verse highlights dharmic ritual conduct: offerings should be made with proper mantra, clear intention, and disciplined procedure. Ethical force lies in inner composure and correctness of action, not in mere external performance.
Saṃvarta sits in the sacrificial setting, radiating like a second fire, loudly invokes the gods, and performs the oblation by pouring havis into the fire with mantra-recitation, indicating the yajña is being formally and powerfully conducted.
