Nārada’s Account of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Future Course
The verse frames Vidura’s extraordinary ethical clarity as the manifestation of Dharma himself, while also stressing that even divine embodiments operate within the moral logic of cause and consequence (here, the impetus is Māṇḍavya’s curse).
Vaiśampāyana identifies Vidura’s true nature: Dharma, compelled by Māṇḍavya’s curse, took birth/assumed existence as Vidura, and is therefore described with epithets of spiritual and intellectual greatness.
