कुन्तीनिवर्तनप्रयत्नः तथा वननिवासप्रारम्भः
Attempt to Dissuade Kuntī; Commencement of Forest Residence
अस्यास्तु पाश्वे कनकोत्तमा भा यैषा प्रभा मूर्तिमतीव सौमी । मध्ये स्थिता सा भगिनी द्विजाग्रया- श्रक्रायुधस्याप्रतिमस्य तस्य,विप्रवरो! इनके बगलमें जो ये सुवर्णसे भी उत्तम कान्तिवाली देवी चन्द्रमाकी मूर्तिमती प्रभा-सी विराजमान हो रही हैं और सब स्त्रियोंके बीचमें बैठी हैं, ये अनुपम प्रभावशाली चक्रधारी भगवान् श्रीकृष्णकी बहन सुभद्रा हैं

asyāstu pārśve kanakottamābhā yaiṣā prabhā mūrtimatīva saumī |
madhye sthitā sā bhaginī dvijāgryā śakrāyudhasyāpratimasya tasya ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Di sisinya berdiri seorang wanita yang sinarnya lebih indah daripada emas—laksana cahaya lembut bulan yang menjelma menjadi rupa. Duduk di tengah para wanita, wahai Brahmana terbaik, dialah Subhadrā, saudari Śrī Kṛṣṇa, sang pemegang cakra yang tiada banding.”
