Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तद् वै सर्वानतिक्रम्य देवदानवराक्षसान् | मानुषानथ गन्धर्वान् नागानथ च पक्षिण:
tad vai sarvān atikramya devadānavarākṣasān | mānuṣān atha gandharvān nāgān atha ca pakṣiṇaḥ ||
Bhishma berkata: “Ia akan melampaui semuanya—para dewa, Dānava, Rākṣasa, manusia, Gandharva, Nāga, bahkan burung-burung—dan dengan daya senjata ilahinya yang tak pernah meleset, ia akan membunuh Asura yang menimbulkan ketakutan pada kalian; juga akan membinasakan musuh-musuh dewa lainnya.”
