Phala of Vrata, Niyama, Svādhyāya, Dama, Satya, Brahmacarya, and Service (व्रत-नियम-स्वाध्याय-दम-सत्य-ब्रह्मचर्य-शुश्रूषा-फलप्रश्नः)
इदं दान॑ न््यायलब्धं द्विजेभ्य: पात्रे दत्त्वा प्रापयेथा: परीक्ष्य । त्वय्याशंसन्त्यमरा मानवाश्नर वयं चापि प्रसृते पुण्यशीले
idaṁ dānaṁ nyāya-labdhaṁ dvijebhyaḥ pātre dattvā prāpayethāḥ parīkṣya | tvayy āśaṁsanty amarā mānavāś ca nara vayaṁ cāpi prasṛte puṇya-śīle ||
Peroleh anugerah ini dengan cara yang benar, lalu—setelah menilai siapa penerima yang pantas—berikanlah kepada para dvija (brahmana), dan pastikan apa yang telah diberikan benar-benar sampai ke rumah brahmana itu. Engkau berbudi luhur dan teguh dalam perbuatan bajik; karena itu para dewa, manusia, dan kami pun menaruh harap kepadamu hanya akan dharma.
