Phala of Vrata, Niyama, Svādhyāya, Dama, Satya, Brahmacarya, and Service (व्रत-नियम-स्वाध्याय-दम-सत्य-ब्रह्मचर्य-शुश्रूषा-फलप्रश्नः)
निवेदये चाहमिमं प्रियं ते क्रतुर्महानल्पधनप्रचार: । प्राप्तो मया तात स मत्प्रसूत: प्रपत्स्थते वेदविधिप्रवृत्त:
nivedaye cāham imaṁ priyaṁ te kratur mahān alpa-dhana-pracāraḥ | prāpto mayā tāta sa mat-prasūtaḥ prapatsyate veda-vidhi-pravṛttaḥ ||
Wahai ayah! Kuberitakan kepadamu kabar yang menyenangkan ini: di sana aku memperoleh upacara kurban agung itu (yajña berupa dana-sapi), yang dapat diselesaikan dengan harta yang tidak besar. Ia akan tampak melalui diriku, berjalan menurut tata Veda, dan kelak menjadi laku yang mapan di mana-mana.
