अजश्च बहुरूपश्च गन्धधारी कपर्द्यपि । ऊर्ध्वरेता ऊर्ध्वलिड्र ऊर्ध्शायी नभःस्थल:
ajaś ca bahurūpaś ca gandhadhārī kapardy api | ūrdhvaretā ūrdhvaliḍra ūrdhvaśāyī nabhaḥsthalaḥ ||
Vāyu-dewa bersabda: “Ia adalah Yang Tak Terlahir dan Yang Berwujud Banyak; pemangku keharuman; juga sang pertapa berambut gimbal. Daya-hayatnya mengarah ke atas; ia bergerak dan bersemayam dalam keadaan yang luhur dan melampaui; dan ia berbaring dalam hamparan langit.”
