Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
The verse praises ahiṁsā (non-harm) joined with svāgata and satkriyā—welcoming speech and appropriate honoring of others. Dharma is shown not only as inner restraint from violence but as active, fitting respect toward all beings.
Śrīmahēśvara addresses Devī, describing the conduct of a virtuous person: one who avoids harming creatures and continually honors others with proper hospitality and reverence. The statement functions as ethical instruction within Anuśāsana Parva’s teachings on righteous behavior.
