Waiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Raja, Daitya yang dipuji dengan nama Śibi itu juga menjadi raja di bumi ini, termasyhur sebagai Druma.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores how identity and reputation (nāma, kīrti) can shift across contexts—here, a being known as a Daitya named Śibi is remembered in the human realm as a king named Druma—highlighting the Mahābhārata’s concern with lineage, renown, and the continuity of beings across domains.
Vaiśampāyana, addressing the king (Janamejaya), identifies a figure: the Daitya called Śibi is said to have become a terrestrial ruler, famous under the name Druma.
