वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic friendship and goodwill that transcends status and realm: even if one is ‘in heaven’ and the other ‘on earth,’ sincere affection and alliance are affirmed, accompanied by a benevolent counsel to live in a fitting, prosperous place.
The narrator reports a speech in which a heavenly-dwelling figure addresses a king on earth, declaring him a beloved friend from that day onward and advising him to reside in the most pleasant and beautiful region available.
