tato 'rjuno vegavaddhijvalitāgrair ajidāgaiḥ | śarair vidhvaṃsayāmāsa gireḥ śṛṅgaṃ sahasradhā ||
Melihat itu, Arjuna dengan anak-anak panah yang melesat cepat, berujung menyala dan terbang lurus ke sasaran, menghancurkan puncak gunung itu menjadi seribu keping hingga runtuh ke bawah.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the disciplined potency of skill (śaurya and astravidyā): when power is precisely directed, it can remove even seemingly immovable obstacles. Ethically, it implies that extraordinary capability should be exercised with purpose and control, not mere display.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Arjuna releases swift, straight-flying, blazing-tipped arrows and pulverizes a mountain summit into countless pieces, causing it to fall—demonstrating his overwhelming archery in the course of the episode.
