The verse highlights how speech and decision can immediately mobilize groups, and it frames heroic initiative (Karṇa advancing) alongside the moral risk of intensifying violence—valor operates within, and is judged by, its broader consequences.
After certain words are spoken, the assembled kings suddenly rush toward the brahmins; immediately afterward, Karṇa moves forward on the battlefield to engage Arjuna (called Jiṣṇu).
