The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras

The verse underscores that disciplined vows and self-restraint (vrata, tapas) are integral to spiritual pursuit: the sages approach the divine not through force or entitlement, but through purity of conduct, sacred timing, and a collective, purposeful quest for higher guidance.
On the occasion of Amāvāsyā, a group of strict-vowed sages gather and depart for Brahmaloka, seeking an audience with Brahmā—setting up a transition to divine consultation or revelation within the unfolding Adi Parva narrative.
