पाण्डुरुवाच अप्रजस्य महाभागा न द्वारं परिचक्षते

Transliteration

pāṇḍur uvāca aprajasya mahābhāgā na dvāraṃ paricakṣate |

Translation

Pāṇḍu berkata: “Wahai para resi yang mulia, orang-orang berkata bahwa bagi mereka yang tak memiliki keturunan, gerbang surga dan alam-alam luhur tidak terbuka. Aku pun tanpa anak; karena itu, dilanda duka, aku menyampaikan permohonan ini kepada kalian. Wahai para pemilik tapa, aku belum terbebas dari hutang kepada para leluhur; sebab itulah kegelisahan menyiksaku.”
