Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय

एकाहाद् यज्ञयाजिनां शुद्धिरुक्ता स्वयंभुवा ततस्त्वधीतशाखानां चतुर्भिः सर्वदेहिनाम्

ekāhād yajñayājināṃ śuddhiruktā svayaṃbhuvā tatastvadhītaśākhānāṃ caturbhiḥ sarvadehinām

Svayambhū menyatakan bahwa para pelaksana yajña menjadi suci dalam satu hari. Setelah itu, bagi semua makhluk berjasad—terutama yang telah mempelajari śākhā-śākhā Weda—penyucian dicapai dalam empat hari.
