Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय
यः पुनस्तत्त्ववेत्ता च ब्रह्मविद् ब्राह्मणोत्तमः स्मरणाच्छुद्धिमाप्नोति नात्र कार्या विचारणा
yaḥ punastattvavettā ca brahmavid brāhmaṇottamaḥ smaraṇācchuddhimāpnoti nātra kāryā vicāraṇā
Adapun brahmana utama yang mengetahui tattva dan mengenal Brahman, ia meraih kesucian hanya dengan mengingat; tiada perlu pertimbangan lagi.
