Adhyaya 40: Kali-yuga Lakshana, Yuga-sandhyamsha, and the Re-emergence of Dharma
मधुमांसैर्मूलफलैर् वर्तयन्ति सुदुःखिताः चीरपत्राजिनधरा निष्क्रिया निष्परिग्रहाः
madhumāṃsairmūlaphalair vartayanti suduḥkhitāḥ cīrapatrājinadharā niṣkriyā niṣparigrahāḥ
Sangat menderita, mereka bertahan hidup dengan madu, daging, umbi-umbian, dan buah-buahan. Mengenakan kain kulit kayu, daun, dan kulit rusa, mereka hidup tanpa kesibukan duniawi dan tanpa kepemilikan; melalui tapa untuk melonggarkan ikatan pāśa sang paśu, mereka berpaling menuju Pati, Śiva.
