FAQs

It presents Rudra as the reality in whom the universe’s causal seed and delusive power (mohana/māyā) dissolve—implying a supreme ground beyond māyā where multiplicity returns to non-differentiated peace (laya).

The verse emphasizes bhakti-yoga through praṇāma (reverent prostration) as a direct means to darśana—suggesting that single-pointed surrender can function as an effective upāya alongside Pāśupata-oriented disciplines of inner dissolution (laya).

With Lord Kūrma teaching the vision of Rudra attained through devotion, it reflects the Purāṇa’s non-sectarian synthesis: Viṣṇu affirms Rudra’s supreme grace and dissolving power, supporting Shiva–Vishnu unity rather than rivalry.
