आवाह्य तदनुज्ञातो जपेदायन्तु नस्ततः / शं नो देव्योदकं पात्रे तिलो ऽसीति तिलांस्तथा
āvāhya tadanujñāto japedāyantu nastataḥ / śaṃ no devyodakaṃ pātre tilo 'sīti tilāṃstathā
Setelah memanggil mereka dan memperoleh izin, ia hendaknya melafalkan “āyantu naḥ—semoga mereka datang kepada kami.” Lalu atas air dalam bejana: “śaṃ no devy udakam,” dan atas biji wijen: “tilo’si—engkau adalah wijen.”
