Sūta (narrator) recounting Purāṇic cosmography to the sages (Naimiṣāraṇya frame)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
This verse is primarily cosmographic, listing directional mountains; it supports dharmic orientation in the world rather than directly teaching Ātman-doctrine.
No explicit yoga practice is taught in this line; its function is to situate sacred space—often a prerequisite in Purāṇas for tīrtha, vrata, and later contemplative disciplines.
It does not directly address Śiva–Viṣṇu unity; it belongs to the Purva-bhāga’s geographic/traditional enumeration, while explicit synthesis is more prominent in later doctrinal sections (e.g., Upari-bhāga’s Ishvara Gītā).
