विश्वामित्र उवाच यतः प्रवृत्तिर्भूतानां यस्मिन् सर्वमिदं जगत् / स विष्णुः सर्वभूतात्मा तमाश्रित्य विमुच्यते
viśvāmitra uvāca yataḥ pravṛttirbhūtānāṃ yasmin sarvamidaṃ jagat / sa viṣṇuḥ sarvabhūtātmā tamāśritya vimucyate
Viśvāmitra berkata: Dari-Nya timbul gerak dan kelahiran semua makhluk, dan pada-Nya seluruh jagat ini bersemayam—Dialah Viṣṇu, Ātman di dalam semua makhluk. Dengan berlindung kepada-Nya, seseorang terbebaskan.

The verse emphasizes āśraya (taking refuge) in Īśvara as a direct liberating orientation—supporting devotion (bhakti), one-pointed contemplation on the indwelling Lord, and surrender as a core sādhana aligned with Purāṇic Yoga.
By defining the Supreme as the universal inner Self and source of the cosmos, the verse supports the Kurma Purana’s non-sectarian synthesis: the highest Īśvara is one reality, praised through names such as Viṣṇu (and elsewhere, Śiva) without contradiction.
