प्राणस्त्वहङ्कार एव अहङ्कारकसंज्ञकः / गरुत्मदंशो विज्ञेयः कामेन्द्राभ्यां दशाधमः
prāṇastvahaṅkāra eva ahaṅkārakasaṃjñakaḥ / garutmadaṃśo vijñeyaḥ kāmendrābhyāṃ daśādhamaḥ
Prāṇa sesungguhnya adalah rasa-aku (ahaṅkāra) yang disebut ‘ahaṅkāraka’. Ia patut dipahami sebagai bagian dari Garuḍa; dan sebagai yang terendah dari sepuluh, ia dikuasai oleh kāma serta penguasa indria.
