पौष्यञ्जिश्च कृतश्चैव संहितानां विकल्पकौ / अथर्वाणं द्विधा कृत्वा सुमन्तुरददाद्द्विजाः

pauṣyañjiśca kṛtaścaiva saṃhitānāṃ vikalpakau / atharvāṇaṃ dvidhā kṛtvā sumanturadadāddvijāḥ

Pauṣyañji dan Kṛta adalah para penyusun pembagian saṃhitā; wahai para dvija, Sumantu membagi Atharvaveda menjadi dua lalu menganugerahkannya.
