Kardama Muni’s Mystic Opulence, Devahūti’s Rejuvenation, and the Turning Toward Fearlessness
तां दृष्ट्वा सहसोत्थाय प्रोचु: प्राञ्जलय: स्त्रिय: । वयं कर्मकरीस्तुभ्यं शाधि न: करवाम किम् ॥ २७ ॥
tāṁ dṛṣṭvā sahasotthāya procuḥ prāñjalayaḥ striyaḥ vayaṁ karma-karīs tubhyaṁ śādhi naḥ karavāma kim
Melihatnya, para gadis itu segera bangkit dan berkata dengan tangan terkatup, “Kami adalah pelayanmu; perintahkanlah, apa yang dapat kami lakukan untukmu?”
While Devahūti was thinking of what to do in that great palace in her dirty clothes, there were at once, by the yogic powers of Kardama Muni, one thousand maidservants prepared to serve her. They appeared before Devahūti within the water and presented themselves as her maidservants, simply awaiting her orders.
This verse highlights the ideal service attitude—rising promptly, offering respect with folded hands, and seeking instruction on how to serve—showing humility and readiness to assist.
In the narrative, upon seeing the respected lady, they respond with proper etiquette and submission, expressing willingness to serve and asking for clear guidance on what duties to perform.
Adopt a service-first mindset: show respect, be proactive, and ask, “How can I help?”—especially in spiritual communities, family duties, and sincere mentorship relationships.
