Transliteration

tam abṛṁhitam ālokya prajā-sargaṁ prajāpatiḥ vindhya-pādān upavrajya so ’carad duṣkaraṁ tapaḥ

Translation

Namun ketika Prajāpati Dakṣa melihat bahwa penciptaan makhluk tidak berkembang sebagaimana mestinya, ia pergi ke sebuah gunung dekat rangkaian Vindhya dan menjalankan tapa yang sangat berat.
