Diti’s Puṁsavana Vow, Indra’s Intervention, and the Birth of the Maruts
एवं स्त्रिया जडीभूतो विद्वानपि मनोज्ञया । बाढमित्याह विवशो न तच्चित्रं हि योषिति ॥ २९ ॥
evaṁ striyā jaḍībhūto vidvān api manojñayā bāḍham ity āha vivaśo na tac citraṁ hi yoṣiti
Meskipun Kaśyapa Muni adalah seorang sarjana yang terpelajar, dia terpikat oleh perilaku buatan Diti, yang membawanya di bawah kendalinya. Oleh karena itu dia meyakinkan istrinya bahwa dia akan memenuhi keinginannya. Janji seperti itu oleh seorang suami sama sekali tidak mengherankan.
