Nṛsiṁhadeva Appears from the Pillar and Slays Hiraṇyakaśipu
श्रीवैतालिका ऊचु: सभासु सत्रेषु तवामलं यशो गीत्वा सपर्यां महतीं लभामहे । यस्तामनैषीद् वशमेष दुर्जनो द्विष्टया हतस्ते भगवन्यथामय: ॥ ५४ ॥
śrī-vaitālikā ūcuḥ sabhāsu satreṣu tavāmalaṁ yaśo gītvā saparyāṁ mahatīṁ labhāmahe yas tām anaiṣīd vaśam eṣa durjano dviṣṭyā hatas te bhagavan yathāmayaḥ
Para penghuni Vaitālika-loka berkata: Wahai Tuhan, di sidang-sidang agung dan arena yajña kami melantunkan kemuliaan-Mu yang suci dan memperoleh penghormatan besar. Namun raksasa durjana ini merampas kedudukan itu. Kini, berkat-Mu, ia telah dibunuh, bagaikan penyakit menahun disembuhkan.
It says that by singing the Lord’s spotless fame in gatherings and sacrificial settings, devotees gain the great opportunity to worship and serve Him.
They describe him as a harmful, oppressive force; the Lord’s slaying of him is likened to removing an illness—restoring well-being to the world and to the devotees.
Regularly glorify God through kīrtana, study, or prayer in community; it strengthens devotion and helps remove destructive influences like hatred, pride, and oppression from one’s life.
