Mahārāja Sagara, Kapila Muni, and the Deliverance of the Sixty Thousand Sons
प्रागुदीच्यां दिशि हयं ददृशु: कपिलान्तिके । एष वाजिहरश्चौर आस्ते मीलितलोचन: ॥ ९ ॥ हन्यतां हन्यतां पाप इति षष्टिसहस्रिण: । उदायुधा अभिययुरुन्मिमेष तदा मुनि: ॥ १० ॥
prāg-udīcyāṁ diśi hayaṁ dadṛśuḥ kapilāntike eṣa vāji-haraś caura āste mīlita-locanaḥ
Lalu, ke arah timur laut, mereka melihat kuda itu dekat Kapila Muni dan berkata, “Inilah pencuri yang merampas kuda; ia duduk dengan mata terpejam; orang berdosa—bunuh dia, bunuh dia!” Sambil berteriak demikian, enam puluh ribu putra Sagara mengangkat senjata dan menyerbu sang resi. It states that Sagara’s sons found the sacrificial horse in the northeastern direction near Kapila and mistakenly assumed Kapila was the thief.
Because they saw the horse placed near him and, without understanding who he was, concluded he had stolen it.
