Pūru-vaṁśa, Duṣmanta–Śakuntalā, and the Rise of Mahārāja Bharata
तं दुरत्ययविक्रान्तमादाय प्रमदोत्तमा । हरेरंशांशसम्भूतं भर्तुरन्तिकमागमत् ॥ १९ ॥
taṁ duratyaya-vikrāntam ādāya pramadottamā harer aṁśāṁśa-sambhūtaṁ bhartur antikam āgamat
Śakuntalā, yang termulia di antara wanita jelita, membawa putranya yang tak tertandingi keberaniannya—lahir sebagai bagian dari bagian Bhagavān Hari—lalu mendekati suaminya, Duṣmanta.
It indicates the child is divinely empowered—manifesting from a partial expansion of Lord Hari—showing extraordinary, irresistible prowess granted by the Supreme.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates that the foremost lady carries the extraordinary child to her husband, emphasizing the child’s divine origin connected to Lord Hari.
Recognize that true strength and excellence ultimately come from the Lord’s grace, and cultivate humility and devotion rather than pride in one’s abilities or lineage.
