Lord Rāmacandra’s Charity, Sītā’s Departure, and the Lord’s Return to Vaikuṇṭha
This verse notes that public talk is “many-mouthed,” hard to satisfy, and often lacks real understanding—yet it can still pressure people into fearful, harmful decisions.
He abandoned her out of fear generated by widespread public criticism, which is described as difficult to appease and not grounded in true discernment.
Do not let uninformed public pressure dictate major moral decisions; seek truth, wise counsel, and spiritual shelter rather than reacting out of fear.
