Concise Bhāgavata Account
पुत्रान् स्वमातरस्तास्तु प्राणांस्तन्व इवोत्थिता: । आरोप्याङ्केऽभिषिञ्चन्त्यो बाष्पौघैर्विजहु: शुच: ॥ ४७ ॥
putrān sva-mātaras tās tu prāṇāṁs tanva ivotthitāḥ āropyāṅke ’bhiṣiñcantyo bāṣpaughair vijahuḥ śucaḥ
Melihat putra-putra mereka, para ibu itu segera bangkit seakan-akan nyawa kembali ke tubuh. Mereka mendudukkan putra-putra di pangkuan, memandikan mereka dengan derasnya air mata, dan melepaskan duka karena perpisahan yang panjang.
It describes the mothers’ overwhelming relief and love on regaining their sons—so intense that they weep streams of tears and their sorrow disappears.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this verse to King Parīkṣit as part of the account in the Ninth Canto.
It highlights how genuine reunion and loving connection can dissolve grief—encouraging compassion, family care, and gratitude when loved ones are restored or protected.
