न स्तुवीत न निन्देत कुर्वत: साध्वसाधु वा । वदतो गुणदोषाभ्यां वर्जित: समदृङ्मुनि: ॥ १६ ॥
na stuvīta na nindeta kurvataḥ sādhv asādhu vā vadato guṇa-doṣābhyāṁ varjitaḥ sama-dṛṅ muniḥ
Seorang resi suci yang memandang sama tidak memuji dan tidak mencela, meski melihat orang lain berbuat baik atau buruk, berbicara benar atau salah. Ia bebas dari keterikatan pada dualitas sifat baik dan cela.
