Kriyā-yoga, the Virāṭ-Puruṣa Mapping, and the Sun-God’s Monthly Expansions
This verse states that Hari is the foundational root (mūla) of all Vedic actions and injunctions—meaning Vedic duties ultimately find their purpose in the Supreme Lord.
He uses the sun metaphor to show that just as one sun illuminates everything, the one Supreme Lord sustains and illumines all worlds as their ultimate source and guide.
Perform your duties with the understanding that their highest fulfillment is devotion to Hari—aligning work, study, family life, and ethics as offerings to God rather than as ends in themselves.
