The Vraja Elders Question Kṛṣṇa’s Identity; Nanda Recounts Garga’s Prophecy
Śrīla Prabhupāda has especially indicated in this connection that just as Lord Kṛṣṇa’s associates could not be defeated by Kaṁsa, so His modern-day devotees will not be defeated by their demoniac opponents, nor will the Lord’s devotees be defeated by the internal enemies — the lusty, materialistic senses.
This verse teaches that those who cultivate loving devotion to the Lord are not overcome by calamity—devotees aligned with Viṣṇu cannot be defeated by demonic forces.
In the Govardhana narrative, the Lord’s shelter proves decisive; Śukadeva generalizes the principle that taking the Lord’s side (devotional allegiance) brings invincibility against hostile influences.
Strengthen daily devotion—hearing, chanting, prayer, and ethical living—so challenges don’t destabilize you; the verse emphasizes inner security that comes from loyalty to the Divine.
