Wahai Raja Parīkṣit, di antara sepuluh putra Manu (Vaivasvata) ada Ikṣvāku, Nabhaga, Dhṛṣṭa, Śaryāti, Nariṣyanta, dan Nābhāga. Putra ketujuh dikenal sebagai Diṣṭa. Lalu Tarūṣa dan Pṛṣadhra, dan putra kesepuluh disebut Vasumān.
This verse lists Ikṣvāku, Nabhaga, Dhṛṣṭa, Śaryāti, Nariṣyanta, Nābhāga, and identifies Diṣṭa as the seventh.
He situates the Lord’s pastimes and dharma within sacred history, showing how saintly kings and dynasties arise under divine arrangement.
They remind readers that human life is part of a larger sacred continuum—encouraging responsibility, dharma, and devotion rather than ego-centered identity.
