Sukta 59

शाप-मोचनम्। यो नः शपादशपतः शपतो यश्च नः शपात्। वृक्ष इव विद्युता हत आ मूलादनु शुष्यतु

śāpa-mocánam | yó naḥ śápād áśapataḥ śápato yáś ca naḥ śápāt | vṛ́kṣa iva vidyútā hatá ā mū́lād ánu śuṣyatu

Release from curse. Whoso, by cursing, hath cursed us—curser, or he who would undo the curse—whosoever by curse (hath touched) us: like a tree smitten by lightning, let him wither, down from the root, utterly away.

Pembebasan dari kutuk. Siapa pun yang telah mengutuk kami dengan kutuk—si pengutuk, atau siapa pun yang hendak melepaskan kutuk itu—siapa pun yang oleh kutuk (telah menyentuh) kami: seperti pohon yang disambar kilat, biarlah ia mengering, dari akar ke atas, lenyap sama sekali.
