Chapter 376 — ब्रह्मज्ञानम्
Knowledge of Brahman
सो ऽसावादित्यपुरुषः सो ऽसावहमखण्ड ॐ मुच्यते ऽसारसंसाराद्ब्रह्मज्ञो ब्रह्म तद्भवेत्
so 'sāvādityapuruṣaḥ so 'sāvahamakhaṇḍa oṃ mucyate 'sārasaṃsārādbrahmajño brahma tadbhavet
Dialah Āditya-Puruṣa itu; aku pun itulah—tak terbagi, non-dual—Om. Sang pengenal Brahman terbebas dari putaran saṃsāra yang hampa; ia menjadi Brahman, menjadi Itulah.
Lord Agni (teaching to sage Vasiṣṭha in the Agni Purana’s instructional dialogue frame)

Application: Daily nididhyāsana: repeat the identity-thought with Oṃ, negate saṃsāra as asāra, and rest in akhaṇḍa-ātma-bodha.
Khanda Section: Adhyatma / Jnana-yoga (Surya–Atman identity; Brahma-jnana and Moksha teaching)
Primary Rasa: Shanta
Secondary Rasa: Adbhuta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A yogin in meditation beholds the radiant Āditya-Puruṣa; the solar form dissolves into formless light as the mantra-like identity 'so ’sau aham akhaṇḍa oṃ' resounds.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala temple mural: seated yogin with closed eyes, behind him a large Sūrya-maṇḍala containing Āditya-Puruṣa, warm ochres and reds, stylized lotus, subtle transition into a white-gold aura signifying nirguṇa brahman.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting: central golden Sūrya halo with embossed gold leaf, Āditya-Puruṣa iconography lightly indicated, foreground yogin with minimal ornaments, heavy gold work emphasizing 'parama-jyotis' and the dissolution into a luminous field.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style: clean linework, soft shading; depict stepwise dissolution—iconic Sūrya form fading into abstract light around the meditator; include small Devanāgarī 'ॐ' motif as contemplative cue.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature: refined landscape with a hermitage terrace; a sun-disc above, a contemplative sage below; delicate gold wash for light, with the sun-person subtly merging into an unfigured radiance."}

Related Themes: Agni Purana Adhyatma/Jnana-yoga section leading into Brahma-jñāna (Adhyaya 376–377)
It teaches Aditya-Puruṣa upāsanā as a non-dual identification practice—meditating with the mahāvākya-like assertion “He is that; I am that,” sealed by praṇava (Oṃ) to culminate in Brahma-jñāna.
Alongside ritual, temple, polity, and other sciences, the Agni Purana also preserves a compact mokṣa-śāstra layer—here summarizing Surya-centered upāsanā and Advaita-style Brahman realization as a complete soteriological instruction.
The verse states that Brahman-knowledge dissolves bondage to saṃsāra; realizing the Solar Person as one’s own Self leads to liberation and the culminating identity: the knower becomes Brahman (tat-bhāva).
