Hendaknya itu dipraktikkan melalui japa dan homa bagi Rāma, dan demikian pula menurut ketentuan bagi yang lainnya.”

Related Themes: Agni Purana 258 (Ṛgvidhāna opening and method: japa/homa); Agni Purana 257 (preceding chapter colophon: vāg-pāruṣya etc.)
It introduces Ṛgvidhāna and frames a practical method: Vedic mantra-procedures (for all four Vedas) are to be applied through japa (repetition) and homa (oblations), here specifically directed toward worship/sādhanā of Rāma.
By shifting from an ethical topic (vākpāruṣya—harsh speech) to a technical ritual manual (ṛgvidhāna), it exemplifies the Agni Purana’s wide scope—cataloging diverse disciplines such as dharma-ethics, mantra-śāstra, and Vedic ritual technology within one compendium.
The verse asserts that correctly performed Vedic mantra practice—japa and homa—yields both bhukti (legitimate worldly attainments) and mukti (liberation), presenting ritual discipline as a bridge from prosperity to spiritual freedom.
